This Visa Subclass is for people wishing to invest in Australia. The investment are made in a designated investment in Australia for a minimum of 4 years. The visa applicants must:

• be less than 45 years of age;
• have at least vocational English;
• be prepared to invest at least $1,500.000.00 in a designated investment in Australia;
• have successful record of managing an investment;
• have assets valued at approximately $2,250,000.00.

Similar to the Subclass 162 Visa, this visa is also for people wishing to invest in Australia. Neverthless, in order to be considered for this visa, the applicants must have a sponsorship from a state or a territory in Australia.

The Investor Retirement Visa is for people wishing to spend a part of their retirement in Australia. This is the only visa in the group of Business Visas, which does not lead to permanent residency. The applicants for this visa must:

• be Older than 55 years of age;
• be Sponsored by an Australian state or territory (NSW and ACT offer no sponsorship);
• be Prepared to make a designated investment of either $500,000.00 or $750,000.00 depending on where you wish to live in Australia;
• have assets of at least $500,000.00 or 750,000.00 depending on where you wish to live in Australia;
• have an income (such as a pension) of at least $50,000.00 or $65,000.00 depending on where you wish to live in Australia.
