Business people wishing to visit Australia for business reasons, such as a conference, negotiation, or an exploratory business visit will generally require a letter of invitation from the company or the business, which they intend to visit.

This visa can only be lodged as a paper application and is not for people who are eligible to apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). You can apply for this visa if you are not a citizen of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong (SAR), Iceland, Ireland, Italy Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Republic of San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom – British Citizen, United Kingdom – British National, United States of America and Vatican City. Moreover, it is a visa for those applicants who do not qualify to apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) because of their country of origin. This visa is the perfect solution for those business people making frequent visits to Australia because this visa may be granted for the life of the passport allowing the holder to make regular business visits not exceeding three months in duration.
